Well, it's been a while since either Tennille or I has posted anything, so I though I'd share some photos & details from my near annual ice fishing trip to Fish Lake, UT:
The day we left, the weather was a little iffy. It was snowing a bit here in the valley, and the forecast was calling for 12"-18" in the mountains where we were going. Everything was clear and fine until about 3 miles from where we were stopping. This is what it looked like when we arrived:
We spent the next couple days fishing. I didn't catch much beyond a dozen yellow perch and a baby splake trout (leatherman used for scale among other things):If you've never been ice fishing before, here's a panorama give you a sense of the solidarity:
On a side note, I don't know if I'll be continuing the Picture a Day thing. It's surprisingly time consuming to not only take the picture (which isn't that much time), but posting it and everything that goes along with that. I will however turn it into more of featured photo thing and would still like to make it a frequently update thing. Maybe once a week or something.

Gotta say, not a huge fisherman, but a big fan of messing around on sheets of ice. That said, holy crap, it looks like it was 1/2 cold and 1/2 miserable, but still probably fun.
Wow that looks like a tiny fish! With that leatherman...leaves no room for a "Fish Story"! LOL
That's cool you got to spend time with your dad! And thanks for sharing the pics!
I'm so glad we're somewhere warm--those ice pictures made me cry a little inside. Way to tough it out on the ice/
I understand Pic-a-Day is time-consuming; but I do hope that you will continue to post the occasional photo.
I was really glad to see what Fish Lake looked like this year.
That looks crazy cold. You sir are a tough gentleman. And to think, Kaiti and I were complaining about the weather being too cold in Hawaii when it was 70.
Hi Justin and Tennille, I hadn't peeked at your blog in a while. Glad to see you were up for the cold adventure. Isn't this where you have always fished with your dad? I have enjoyed your pics. I have been following another Utah blogger who does an incredible job with photos etc. She's a 'mommy blogger', but very good photographer and witty. Check out dooce.com. Cheers to you both, Aunt Janis
