Bye Bye My Touch..
Well, I took my iPod Touch back.. It wouldn't stay connected to the internet. It would be connected, then it would disconnect and reconnect then disco.... well you get the picture. Plus I really wanted the Nike+ on it and that only comes on the 2G touch. The person who sold it to me said it was with the software upgrade... LIAR! it only comes built into the 2G touch.
So, now I don't know if I should get the orange Nano or get the new Touch. The Nano is Orange.. and smaller.. but the Touch has a lot of cool stuff about it. but it's $100 more.. But I've purchased applications for the touch...so, perhaps I'll just stick with the touch. *shrugs*

10 Weeks Left!!
I can't believe I only have 10 weeks of school left! Holy goodness! I'm soooo happy! I can't wait to be done! However at the same time I will miss the friends I have made. Anyway, I had Professional Development today and we talked about licensing and certifications and other things like that. It was fun. That class always pumps me up for making my own business. I'm excited!
Well, I'm going to chill before bed. :) Later!

New Space Heater

the picture of the day to day is quite lame, so i must apologize. I forgot to bring my camera along when we went to the Gateway or else I would have taken something there. So anyway, this is our new space heater. Exciting. I know. We're staying nice and extra warm in this 20 degree and lower weather... (taken with the nikon coolpix l3 (0.7s at f/3.6, ISO 200 w/ macro lens (9.1 mm)))
As far as the rest of our day, we went to the Gateway, had some Applebee's, and went and saw "Yes Man." That movie was actually a lot better than i thought it was going to be. Zooey Deschanel had the same ol' personality she uses in everything else, so she was kind of a low point (as always for me). The real suprise highlight for me was Rhys Darby (some of you may know him as Murray Hewitt, Band Manager, from Flight of the Conchords). He's awesome as always. In fact, I would see "Yes Man" again, just for him. Don't get me wrong, Jim Carrey was good too, but Rhys was great!

Justin's First Post
My first post! Also, my first pic of the day is up <--- you can view a full gallery of photos (more to come soon) by clicking the photo button above. I missed yesterday, but unfortunately we didn't do much... mostly just watched the Monk-a-thon on USA and played with Tilly's new iPod among other boring, uneventful things. Not really the best way to start the picture of the day thing, but oh well...
I'm not sure if I'm going to leave detailed daily posts about my photos or not yet. I'll give it a try for the first little bit and see how it goes.
Today's (1/2/09) pic-o-the-day was taken at about 10:45pm in SLC with a Nikon Coolpix L3 (0.7 sec at f/3.2). We were hanging out with Scott and Amanda after getting some Indian food when it started to snow. We stayed inside most of the evening, but decide we should check out the weather to see how it was going (i guess). I realized I hadn't had a chance to take any pictures today since i left my camera at home and went to the restaurant straight from work. So i thought I'd shoot a few as we took a very brief walk to a park nearby. I saw these signs getting blasted with snow and thought it would make a good shot. The street lights and the falling snow added a pretty cool effect, and i think it would have come out better had i used a tripod for the longer exposure. I took the photo into good ol' photoshop for some minor touchups. The original was slightly yellowed by the street lights, so there's a little bit o' color correction going on there with an added vignette effect.
