We were originally set to close Thursday, but a week ago the state made $4,000 grants available to first time home buyers (us!). So, this has delayed us by a few days, but it's totally worth it. We stopped by the new house on Friday after work. Since we had been by earlier in the week we knew not much would have changed. The doors were locked, so we couldn't get inside. We don't know if it's because the parade of homes is going on, or if they just wanted to start protecting the interior. We swung by our new place on our way into town today, and were pleasently surprised. The sheetrocking was 95% completed (the garge sheetrock just needs to be mudded) and is ahead of schedule! They've also started on finishing up the exterior. We plan to go back up Friday or Saturday (which was our original plan) to see what's done. They should have the trim work finished, so we'll see!

The framing is officially complete! We went over on Thursday to check in on the progress. Well the travel to La Grande was good. Didn't hit any real bad weather. It was sunny most of the time. It's about a 3 hour drive from Boise to La Grande, so had a lot of time to do nothing. YAY!
